Ulla Forsell

Ulla Forsell was born in 1944 and has been studying at the College of Art and Design in Stockholm and in Holland. She now lives in Stockholm and has her own workshop there in which she has been creating glass since 1974.

She is quite famous for her circular dishes with “three-dimensional” application of flowers, leaves and fruits. She has also been working a lot with mirrors and the reflection of light and colour on them.

She has been inspired by old museum collections, baskets of solidifying flowers and grapes, bottles, funnels and magic drops from laboratory, botanic, old window glass and grandeur mirrors.

Ulla Forsell is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm, Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, Corning Museum of Glass in New York State, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
